Salary Equity Study 2009
UNC Charlotte ADVANCE evaluators Roslyn Arlin Mickelson and Arnie Cann in 2009 conducted a salary equity study on behalf of ADVANCE and presented their findings in January 2009.
Their work considered the important issue of possible gender disparities in salary. The report documented Mickelson and Cann’s findings related to UNC Charlotte faculty salaries from 2004-2005 through 2007-2008. The study considered factors that predict salaries, whether evidence existed to suggest systemic gender bias in salaries and whether changes had occurred over the time period studied.
