Research

The Center for Advancing Faculty Success (CAFS) at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte is deeply committed to advancing faculty development through research and evidence-based practices. The center conducts comprehensive research on a variety of topics that align with its mission, including faculty development, institutional climate and culture, and diversity. By exploring these critical areas, CAFS aims to enhance the overall academic environment and support faculty in their personal and professional growth. Our research focuses on identifying best practices that foster inclusive teaching, improve institutional support systems, and cultivate a positive and equitable academic climate for all faculty members. Through this work, CAFS contributes to the development of strategies that promote faculty success, retention, and well-being, ensuring that UNC Charlotte remains a dynamic and supportive institution for its diverse faculty community.
