Faculty Forum for Associate Professors

ADVANCE FADO offers a Faculty Forum once a year in an effort to provide clarity to mid-career faculty regarding the criteria for promotion from Associate Professor to Full Professor. Dr. Joan Lorden, Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, and the Deans or their appointees serve on a panel, in which panelists provide information on pathways to promotion. The format is interactive, so faculty have the opportunity to ask questions during the session.

ADVANCE also encourages members of Department Review Committees (DRC) and College Review Committees (CRC) to attend to ensure that all involved in the review process have a common understanding of expectations and other issues. It is particularly useful for committee members to hear the questions Associate Professors are asking as they move through the promotion process.
