2025 Provost’s New Faculty Orientation (NFO)

WELCOME TO UNC CHARLOTTE!

The 2025 New Faculty Orientation is scheduled for Tuesday, August 12th.

New Faculty are required to attend the Orientation.

Registration starts at 7:45 am, followed by Breakfast with the Deans and Associate Deans from your College.

This is a great opportunity to meet with your Dean, Associate Deans, and fellow new faculty in your college.

The event takes place on the 3rd floor of the Student Union.

A Resource Fair will follow at the end of orientation, where numerous offices from around campus will be available to talk to you about how they can assist you in being successful here at UNC Charlotte.

You will also have the opportunity to have a professional Head Shot taken during the Resource Fair.

  • The closest parking is the Union Deck located at 8755 STUDENT UNION LN, Charlotte NC 28223.
  • For those with UNC Charlotte faculty/staff parking permits, your permit will allow you to park in the Union Deck on the day of the event.
  • For those without UNC Charlotte parking permits, please email Tonya Thompson at tonya.thompson@charlotte.edu by Aug. 10th to request pre-paid entry tickets, which will be distributed to those that request them at the New Faculty Orientation on August 15th.
  • Questions about parking status, enforcement, or permits should go to PaTS.
