New faculty members for fall 2012 participated in the Campus Resource Fair Monday, Aug. 13, in the Student Union, Multipurpose Room. Representatives from 21 resource programs across campus took part in the event, coordinated and hosted by the UNC Charlotte ADVANCE Faculty Affairs and Diversity Office.

Following the fair and continental breakfast, incoming faculty members were welcomed officially by Chancellor Philip L. Dubois and Provost Joan Lorden during the New Faculty Orientation Program, which was designed to provide an overview of the University. Attendees also received information about individuals and programs that can help them in their teaching and research endeavors.

During lunch, new faculty members participated in a discussion around a number of scenarios related to issues they might face as they embark upon their careers.
