UNC Charlotte ADVANCE Faculty Affairs Office Hosts “Charting Your Path” Conference
Over 50 faculty and administrators attended the March 16, 2011 conference, “Charting Your Path — Strategies for Success in Academe: A Conference for STEM Women Associate Professors and Their Administrators.” Associate professors learned strategies for career advancement, and administrators gained insights into ways they can help mid-career faculty succeed.
Dr. Joan Lorden, UNC Charlotte Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, sponsored the conference, along with the ADVANCE Faculty Affairs Office. Attendees heard from provosts, deans, department chairs, center directors and faculty members — all of whom have practical ideas and experiences to help their colleagues.
The conference design was intended to provide information for faculty and administrators, so they can work as a team. More information can be found below, including photographs from the conference. Please check back often, as we will continue to add information, such as speakers’ remarks.
